Morning songs - Introduction

On the next day after the wedding, morning songs were sung for the young couple. This custom has been preserved unevenly: in some countries, such as Hungary and Lithuania it has a rich and dedicated repertoire, while in others, such as Poland, only remnants of this old tradition have been recorded.
